Template Manager

This page is used to define and modify document templates.

From the Documents Maintenance (RTS) page, click the Open Template Manager button on a listed document template definition. The Template Manager page will also display when defining a new template.

The Template Manager page opens.

Page Help provides a quick listing of icons and functions available and related to the Template Manager Page.

Click the Page Help icon.

Template Manager

Action Buttons: These actions apply to the upper and lower parts of the page.

  • Cancel: Return to the calling page (New Template or Document Maintenance) without saving changes to the template.
  • Save: Save template changes without closing the Template Manager.
  • Continue: Save template changes and exit to the Document Maintenance (RTS) page.

Menu Bar Icons: All icons used to define template elements.

Edit (Fields): Edit designed fields. Click Edit Fields to open the Field Details pop-up window. Click Edit in the Document Name row to edit the Define Document information.

Define Document: Define a document.

Import XML: Loads indexes from XML files associated with a template. This feature may not be functional for your installation.

Add Index: Define indexes for the document.

Note:

This icon may not display for your installation.

This icon will only display if the user has permission to create and manage templates.

Add Party Info: Define party-related fields in the document.

Add Text Field: Add a text field to the document.

 

Add Checkbox: Add a check box to the document.

Add Dropdown: Add a drop-down list box to the document.

Add Radio Button: Add a radio button group to the document.

Add Signature: Add a signature field to the document.

Add Initials: Add an initials field to the document.

Align Left: Left-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Align Right: Right-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Align Center: Center-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Align Top: Top-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Align Middle: Middle-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Align Bottom: Bottom-align two or more design elements. All elements selected will align to the first element chosen.

Match Width: Size two or more design elements to the same width. All elements selected will size to the first element chosen.

Match Height: Size two or more design elements to the same height. All elements selected will size to the first element chosen.



 Zoom In/Zoom Out: Zoom in to precisely place elements. Zoom out to see more of the document.

Snap Lines: Move and align elements with boundaries and center lines of other elements.

Upload Document: Replace the current document by uploading a new document in its place.

Use this to replace the stored source PDF document with a new PDF document template.

Download Document: Save a copy of the document displayed on canvas.

Defined Field List: A display of currently defined elements - Indexes, Fields and Party Information.

These element correspond to defined areas within the source document and are color-coded by party. The party color will match on the canvas and in the field list area. A maximum of 25 parties can be included. Included are:

  • Indexes
  • Fields
  • Signature Fields
  • Party Information
